Submitting Data

Customers rely on the FAIR Health database to provide a rich array of geographically specific charge data. To maximize the value of its data products, FAIR Health maintains an ongoing data contribution program which continuously adds new data to our repository. Eligible customers who license FAIR Health data are urged to participate in the data contribution program. A large data pool not only enhances the utility to customers of the data products they license, but also enriches the free FH Consumer Cost Lookup available at fairhealthconsumer.org.

To ensure that claims data are not duplicated within the database, participation in the FAIR Health data contribution program is limited to eligible organizations:

• Health plans
• Insurance carriers
• Third-party administrators

Only current licensees of FAIR Health data products are eligible to participate in the data contribution program.

To protect the validity of its database, FAIR Health does not currently accept claims submissions from providers; due to the breadth of data contributions from the payor community, there is a high probability that provider claims would result in duplication of data within the database.
