FAIR Health President Robin Gelburd To Speak At National Conference Of Insurance Legislators

NEW YORK, NY, July 15, 2011 – Robin Gelburd, President of the independent non-profit organization FAIR Health, Inc., is scheduled to address the National Conference of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL) at their Summer meeting in Newport, Rhode Island on Saturday, July 16.

In addition to providing an overview and history of her organization, Ms. Gelburd will introduce the FHTM Medical Cost Lookup tool, launching August 1st at www.fairhealthconsumer.org. She will also discuss how making FAIR Health’s unbiased medical and dental claims data available to consumers, insurers, and health care providers increases transparency in the industry and promotes overall goodwill among diverse stakeholders.

Particularly relevant to the NCOIL gathering, Gelburd will emphasize how FAIR Health can play a central role in advancing state policy goals, including establishing Medical Reimbursement Data Centers, All Payer Claims Databases and Health Exchange Navigator programs. Gelburd’s presentation follows similar presentations made recently to the American Medical Association, as well as to dental and health insurer audiences.
