FH® Healthcare Indicators
FH Healthcare Indicators analyze trends and patterns in the healthcare sector, identifying changes in utilization, geographic and demographic factors, diagnoses, procedures and costs. The annual report focuses on the growth of alternative places of service.
Analyzing Recent Healthcare Trends and Patterns
FH Healthcare Indicators examine several important aspects of the healthcare sector, including utilization, costs, diagnoses, procedures, and geographic and demographic factors. The report focuses on alternative places of service—retail clinics, urgent care centers, telehealth and ambulatory surgery centers—and compares them to the more traditional venues of emergency rooms and offices.
Based on analysis of claim lines, the report shows how places of service vary in their growth, as well as in their most common diagnoses, most common procedures, and billed charges and allowed amounts for their most common procedure codes. It also studies the places of service in relation to patient age and gender as well as state and rural versus urban settings.
Although FH Healthcare Indicators are national in scope and have defined points of inquiry, FAIR Health can prepare indicators customized to your needs, with specific data subsets—for example, based on a particular clinical category, service grouping, geographic region or time period.
